A bit of a delay...

I apologize for the delay in posting an update...it's been a bit of an adjustment getting back in to the swing of things now that I'm back to work. I think we have finally figured things out, for now!! I will admit that going back to work wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. I think it was a mix of knowing that I didn't have a choice and knowing that if I couldn't stay home with Aiden, he was going to be with the next best person...my mother! I also managed to "fix" my schedule so I work the same hours every day which is not too common in the banking world!

These pictures reflect a typical night at the Heimbuch house! I love it!!!

So on to Aiden...what an angel! We are having so much fun with him b/c he's really getting a personality (and a bit of an Irish temper I will add). We don't see him mad too often but when he is, watch out! He recognizes me and Mike when we are around and has ear to ear toothless smiles for us which are just adorable! He recognizes our voices when we're in the room and squirms his head around until he can find where we are. He's been sleeping through the night for the most part which is wonderful and even when he doesn't, he's only up once for no more than 30 minutes so we are counting our blessings!

We watched the Inauguration last night and Aiden was in awe, not sure if it was the Inauguration or just the colorful "stuff" on the TV but none the less, it was cute to watch. When I went to pick him up yesterday my mom showed me some pictures that she took of him, posed in front of their TV holding an American flag and watching Obama. It was so cute and a great idea that I had to take some of our own when we got home (I didn't have an American flag so just pretend he's holding one)! p.s. he LOVED Michelle's white ball gown!

For those of you that haven't seen Aiden recently I will tell you that he is a mover. Well as much as a 3 1/2 month old can move that is. His legs are always "kicking" and his arms are always waving in the air. With that said we decided to hang his swing tonight and see how he did. He didn't like it the first time we put him in it, not sure if it's b/c he was hungry or b/c it was a bit too low to the ground. So after a hearty bottle and a 2 inch lift we tried again and this time no crying! I'm not sure he really understands what it is yet b/c he really just twirls around at this point he doesn't really jump but I think he'll be bounding in no time!

That's all for now! Thanks for your patience with my laziness in posting!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

What a wonderful week we have had...our first Christmas and New Year with Aiden and of course his christening! So much excitement!

Aiden with mommy and daddy, his godparents Aunt Patty and Uncle Kevin and Fr. Snyder (the same priest that married me and Mike).

This baptism outfit it over 30 years old! My brother wore it for his baptism as did all of our newphews!
The Dornisch bunch!
The Heimbuch/Horner/Kirtley bunch!
Aiden is getting bigger by the minute and he's starting to show his personality which is so much fun to watch! Hard to believe but I have to go back to work on Monday :( I have LOVED being home with him for the past 13 weeks and it's going to be hard to leave him but I know I have to go back to work. Since my mom will be watching him when I go back to work I have peace of mind knowing he will be well taken care of!

Time to watch some college football with my boys! Hope you all have a wondeful New Year's Day, eat lots of pork and sauerkraut (ours is in the crock pot and it smells deeeelish)!
